Think About It.
Listen without interrupting. Give without expectations. Love without ceasing. Encourage others with sencerity.
Think for a moment. How would you like someone to treat you? Share love with others and watch the world change by your own acts of kindness toward others. Small acts of kindness change the world. Be the kind of person you would like to see in this world and make a difference for another person. Take a friend a cup of coffee, or the secretary at the office you have an appointment at today. Buy someone lunch or pick up a random persons tab. If you start with small acts of kindness you will begin to feel happiness as well and will move to larger acts of kindness.
We all face the same daily struggles with the same enemy. His approach may vary depending on the person, genetics, personality, faith, or lack of but we all face the same devil, just different demons.
Isn’t it a good thing we have Jesus who conquered that crafty enemy. I like to say the Jesus in me is stronger than he who is roaming the earth looking for someone to devour. Honestly, with faith, wisdom, and eyes wide open and two cups of coffee is a cure for Mondays.
The truth is like a lion. You don’t have to defend it. Let it loose. It will defend itself. -St. Augustine
I love this quote. I also love that the lion is symbolic of Jesus, and bravery. It takes bravery to be honest. Most times people lie out of fear, fear of rejection, or fear of not conforming. It takes humily, an honorable quality to be honest. Truth is lying is the easy way out and requires less work at the time but in the long run it requires more work and more lies.
I found an old discarded library book for these gems. The doodling took a few hours but was very relaxing and therapeutic. If you enjoy art you can understand why taking hours on a project can he relaxing. I didn’t sit for the whole time through from start to finish. I worked on these projects and it took about a week to finish each one depending on what else we had going on in our house with our kids. I have more completed zen gems on my Instagram account if you would like more inspiration.
I loved adding color to my zentangles by adding these colorful gems. I used Primsmacolor colored pencils and a black Pilot V5 rolling ball pen. That is my favorite pen to doodle with.
Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story. Kids need love, guidance, and to feel accepted. Even if they aren’t your own biological children God did put His fingerprint on them and He loves every child. If we are called for so much more in this life make a choice to make a difference. Make a difference in the life of a child.
